the story of wing chun began in the 1920s and 30s. in war torn china ip man was an unyeilding martial arts follower devoted whole heartedly to free learning of wushu. the fight to be on top between the wushu schools in the southern and northern regions of china had not stopped him from having goodwill matches with other practioners. nationalistic bad feelings and racial hatred had not lessened his respect for the japanese kung fu warriors. in the great era of hatreds and tragedies ip focused only on wushu and his enthusiasm for martial arts gave him defying street fights with various elite practitioners.
