before the matrix; crouching tiger hidden dragon and charlies angels the yuen clan directed superstar bruce li in his best role ever. bruce li is hired by a film company to replace bruce lee as the number 1 star in martial arts films but others dont agree and the fight is on. kung fu is king and the yuens have got it you can get it too with the yuen family collection. bruce li stars asxs one of three immigrants who enter hk illegally in search of a better life. once there he secures a job and befriends a young black kid carl scott after bruce defends him while being bullied. bruce vows to work hard and make a good life for himself and his girl. this lifestyle does not sit well with bruces best friend who came over with him on the boat. bitter about his treatment in hk and a bit jealous over his relationship. meng joins the local triad and begins rising through the ranks. however when li becomes a famous fighter and the mob wants him to take a fall the two men cross paths in the most violent fashion.
