Sonny Chiba stars in this historical epic as Shogun a ruthless warlord bent on gaining control of Japan. At the behest of the Emperor he kills the head of the Mimoshi clan and then comes after his family. Forewarned of the attack the Mimoshi take the child Takamaru away to China to be raised in exile. Takamaru is trained in martial arts there and returns to Japan as a young adult to get revenge upon Shogun and reclaim his familys fortune. But Shogun is now a rich and powerful man second only to the emperor. It will take more than martial arts skill to bring him down. Mimoshi must gather together and train a group of rebels in order to win justice.
